Sophie and Harpreet’s wedding at Wynyard Hall was a beautiful day with a real sense of occasion. Elegant, thoughtful and incredibly well put together, every part of the day felt considered without ever losing the relaxed atmosphere that made it so enjoyable.
Wynyard Hall is one of those wedding venues that naturally lends itself to photographs. The grand architecture, beautiful grounds and incredible interiors give you plenty to work with, but for me, the best photographs are always about the people rather than the setting.
I had already spent some time with Sophie and Harpreet on their pre wedding shoot, so by the time the wedding arrived, we already knew each other really well. That made such a difference on the day. I genuinely felt more like one of their friends than someone who had simply arrived to photograph and film their wedding.
The day itself was full of those moments that make a wedding memorable. The anticipation in the morning, the ceremony, the laughter with friends and family, the quieter moments between the bigger parts of the day and the atmosphere as the evening celebrations got underway.
There was also plenty going on, with beautiful styling throughout the venue, carefully chosen flowers, personalised wedding favours, a photobooth and casino tables adding to the evening entertainment. It all came together beautifully without taking away from what mattered most, Sophie and Harpreet and the people around them.

For me, photographing a wedding at Wynyard Hall is never simply about photographing a beautiful venue. It is about telling the full story of the day, from the smallest details to the biggest moments, and capturing the people, relationships and atmosphere that make the wedding uniquely yours.
Sophie and Harpreet’s wedding had all of that. Elegant without feeling formal, beautifully styled but still relaxed, and most importantly, completely full of personality.
